The Autonoma Residency Prize, which reaches its third edition this year, was established to reward an artist or a designer who works in the field of artistic glass and who exhibit in The Italian Glass Weeks – Venice HUB Under35, aged between 18 and 35. It’s promoted by LagunaB through the Autonoma project in collaboration with Pilchuck Glass School.
The young artist Katerina Krotenko based in Helsinki, is the winner of the 2022 edition with the Shaped by Fire project, winning a residency at the Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle (USA) in 2023.
Among the reasons of the Jury of the Autonomous Residency Prize, composed by Marcantonio Brandolini d’Adda (Creative Director of LagunaB), Benjamin Wright (Creative Director of the Pilchuck Glass School), Tina Aufiero (artist and Creative Director of the Pilchuck Glass School), Caterina Toso (curator) and Alma Zevi (gallery owner and curator), is “the extremely interesting relationship with nature that the artist expresses through her work”.
