On the occasion of the first edition of The Italian Glass Weeks, and in the International Year of Glass, the Committee for the Safeguarding of the Art of Venetian Beads presents "Hunting for Venetian Beads" in Milan, a treasure hunt already proposed in Venice, with various itineraries, since 2013.
For this first Milanese event we have chosen a path that winds from Piazza Duomo to the Brera district, along its small streets that recall Venice.
Equipped with a questionnaire, the participants will ideally follow the path of glass beads, an Art that has been kept alive in Venice, thanks to practitioners, since 1338. The Itinerary will lead to the secret glass treasure.
In December 2020, the Art of Glass Beads was recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO Conv. 2003).
