Ela Smrcek / Jaroslav Prosek. Air

Event organised by Ela Smrcek / Jaroslav Prosek
The collective exhibition “Air” by Czech artists Ela Smrcek and Jaroslav Prosek follows the path of environmentally focused exhibitions previously launched by the exhibition "Plastic Oceans" which was presented during The Venice Glass Week 2021 and the Czech pavilion of EXPO 2020 Dubai.
The theme of the exhibition “Air” centres on the effects of human activity on air pollution and unsustainable deforestation practices.

Ela Smrcek (Czech Republic, 1985), a Czech glass artist, was raised in the heart of the Czech glass industry. She specialises in glass molten-mould sculptures that are aesthetically simple, yet full of hidden meaning. Jaroslav Prosek (Czech Republic, 1986) is a self-taught artist, with a passion for art from his childhood. Jaroslav Prosek’s journey to the world of glass art developed over time. He uses several techniques to create his sculptures: in a mould, grinding and engraving.
