Ibrahim Erdogan. Comb II, Uncanny Moment
Event organised by Ibrahim Erdogan
The work, created in the form of an anonymous comb, symbolises the association of interactivity that investigates the subtle border between what attracts and repels us. The work shows unfamiliar sensation through the rhythmic sound of fragility and complexity, it also ironically aims to display the paradigm of overwhelming transparency of industrial float glass that presents an uncanny moment of vivid movement and sound in a provocative way.
Ibrahim Erdogan (Turkey, 1992) received his BA at Anadolu University and was invited to the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art in Wroclaw and University of Florida as a guest. His work has been shown at the Bornholm Art Museum, The European Glass Context, New Glass Review 39-41, MusVerre, Harn Museum of Art, Limburg Kunstsammlung, Istanbul Archeology Museums, PXL-MAD. Ibrahim Erdogan is currently gaining his MFA degree at IKKG in Germany.
