Galleria Michela Rizzo participates in The Italian Glass Weeks presenting ‘Souvenir’, a new exhibition in the Project Room by Marcela Cernadas. Cernadas’ works often have a deep bond with Venice, particularly in relation to its beauty and fragility and its mythical and elusive nature. In her practice, the artist tries to grasp the ephemeral, attempting to give forms to memories, like in the Murano glass work ‘Souvenir’, the central piece in the exhibition. Marcela Cernadas is the winner of the prize Glass in Venice 2022 promoted by Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere e Arti which awards artists working in the great glassmaking tradition of Murano.
