Lætitia Jacquetton. Twilight

Event organised by Lætitia Jacquetton
When some Murano furnaces were turned off at Christmas, Lætitia Jacquetton saved a number of fire-resistant bricks from kilns that were due to be replaced. They represent the memory of the works that were made there; these layers of glass are a marker of time that stopped. She used glass from the bottom of the crucible that usually gets discarded to make a project out of materials with no future. So the glass has some marks, lines and those that in Murano are reputed to be defects, that for her give more emotions.

Lætitia Jacquetton (France, 1970) lives and works in Murano with the best masters in glass-blowing. Lauren Manoogian invited her to exhibit in her New-York Gallery in 2020. She has exhibited at Paris Design Week 2021, in GURU art Fair Paris, and in Galerie Stimmung Paris before a solo show in Tokyo FFThought gallery in 2021 and Kanazawa in 2022. She is currently showing in Sinople Gallery in Paris and Private Choice Paris.
