The Ways of Glass - Expert tours of museums, Alda Levi Antiquarium
Event organised by Comitato Nazionale Italiano AIHV – Association Internationale pour l’Histoire du Verre
The Roman Amphitheater Park and Antiquarium offers the public a green space in the center of the city, in which the remains of the monument are preserved, and a museum that illustrates the history and characteristics of Milan's amphitheater and presents the results of archaeological investigations recently conducted in the neighborhood. The Antiquarium houses an important glass vessel: a parallelepiped body bottle with two handles, decorated on the bottom with a gladiatorial scene made by blowing within a mold, found in Acqui Terme. The AIHV Italian National Committee, in collaboration with the Lombardy Archaeological Superintendency and thanks to the support of ICE-Istituto per il Commercio Estero, through Vitrum, organized the restoration and exhibition of the bottle in 2015.
