The Ways of Glass - Visits with the expert in museums, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart - Bontadini Lecture Hall

Event organised by Comitato Nazionale Italiano AIHV – Association Internationale pour l’Histoire du Verre
An exhibition of archaeological finds from investigations carried out in the Athenaeum's courtyards between 1986 and 2004, entitled "The settlement, the necropolis, the monastery," has been set up on the premises of the Catholic University of Milan. The exhibition is the result of a long work of classification and study of the finds, in which professors and researchers from the Department of History, Archaeology and Art History participated, together with students and residents.
Among the artifacts from the phases documented by the investigations, particularly those from the early settlement (late 1st century B.C.- 2nd century A.D.) and especially from the large necropolis that developed in the area between the 3rd and 5th centuries A.D., are numerous glass objects of great interest.
