Milan’s HUBs

Milan is getting ready to welcome all the visitors of The Italian Glass Weeks to its many sites. Three will be the main
locations which will act as point of reference for our visitors and organisers.
The Italian Glass Weeks Milan – HUB of Palazzo Giureconsult: the oldest and most central congress centre in Milan, has been the heart of the city’s social, economic and cultural life for the last 400 years. A few steps from the Duomo, it will
host congresses, workshops, and laboratories that will animate the Milanese week.

The Sforzesco Castle: the historic monument of the city of Milan and home to Museums and Cultural Institutions, will host various moments related to the event:

  • From 7th to 25th September in the Cortile della Rocchetta the exhibition “Glass Milan: from ancient to contemporary”. A photographic exhibition, curated by Maria Grazia Diani, Fiorella Mattio, Cristina Tonini and Marina Uboldi, will present a selection of the most significant glass works chosen from Milanese museums and places of culture;
  • On 10th and 11th September, six free guided tours of the artistic glass collections in the Castle Museums;
  • From 13th to 18th September, workshops, laboratories and tours for children

Santambrogio Milan – La Terrazza: one of the most evocative design buildings in Milan, it will be one of the Milanese
HUBs of The Italian Glass Weeks. A location that fully expresses the new vision of Italian design, technological
innovation and continuous stylistic research in the field of glass, with its privileged view of the city, it will be the site of
exclusive events from 10th to 18th September.
