Esh Gallery - Glass between East and West
At the center of Gaigher's work is the continuous experimentation with the material glass in its many forms, combined with other materials and a simple but evocative poetics, in which the viewer is free to interpret in a more spiritual or closer to nature key.
Ōki Izumi, a Japanese artist, Italian by adoption, uses for her works a green-blue industrial glass, which recalls the natural elements of water and air so dear to Japanese culture. By layering the glass sheets, the artist gives shape to abstract syntheses, vases, mysterious architectures, suspended between the visible and the invisible.
Enriching the exhibition is a collection of glass and metal jewelry by the duo Suri&Ros.
